Day 4 Hanoi – Ninh Binh/ Hoa Lu – Trang An – Mua Cave – Hanoi (B,L)
Breakfast, Lunch included
After breakfast, we start the tour at 8:30am to drive about 100 kilometers south to Hoa Lu the ancient capital of the Dinh and Le dynasties dating back to the 11th century. Not much of the capital remains, but fortunately some of its ruins and tombs have survived for a millennium. The scenery is spectacular and more than make up for the lack of ruins. After that you will continue to nearby Tam Coc or Three Caves in Vietnamese, an area of natural beauty that is
often referred to as Halong Bay on land. Board a small boat and meander lazily down the river to the ancient caves. See limestone karsts jetting skywards out of electric green rice paddies – you won’t be able to stop taking photos! Returning back to the pier and leave for Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Walk up almost 500 steps, you can reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain & have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here.

Upon leaving Hoa Lu Citadel, we take a short drive to Trang An to explore one of the most beautiful and charming karst sceneries in the world. This incredible wonder is different from Ha Long Bay since Trang An is mostly dominated by large karst mountains. They stand in isolation and are connected by rice paddies and small rivers, making them more dramatic in appearance. There are possibilities to cycle, drive or even walk around the mountains, but most people choose a boat tour to visit Trang An. The boat excursion takes us through the splendid scenery. The trip pace completely changes as we take a funny bike ride along the rural roads and through small villages to discover the authentic life of local people
After the boat ride, drive back to Hanoi. Free time at your own exploration of town.

Overnight at Hanoi
